 | Cat Hollow Park is a small neighborhood park with many amenities. (Click on map for larger view) Maptech® USGS Topographic Series, ©Maptech®, Inc. 603-433-8500, www.maptech.com/topo Copyright 2000 Maptech, Inc. |
Getting there: From I-35 in Round Rock take the RR 620 exit and head west
on 620. Turn right onto O'Connor Drive. Continue past Liberty Walk Drive and look for the park
on the right where there is a small parking lot.
The Hike: Cat Hollow is a small, neighborhood park that provides several
possible activities for area residents. Along with the short trail, the park includes a
playscape, tennis court, basketball court and some room for picnicing.
Walking the trail around the park is as simple as starting from any point along Liberty Walk
Drive. The entire path is paved, which makes for easy going, but not for a pure "hiking"
experience.

The park was full of kids and parents, particularly around the playscape. Although there are
numerous trees on the grounds, many lost their leaves long ago in the fall, so the park is
more open that it probably feels in the spring and summer.
Don't be confused by the topo map for this hike. The area around the park is now completely
built up with homes that have been constructed since the government topo maps were drawn up.

To sum it up, this is a nice little park for area residents, but probably not worth a trip
from any great distance.
