McKinney Falls State Park Headquarters for the Texas State Parks system, McKinney Falls State Park provides miles of trails and a state park atmosphere just minutes from downtown Austin.

Old Hancock Trail This sunny trail along Canyon Lake features a large number of deer residents.

Red Bud Isle This short trail around an island in the middle of Lady Bird Lake is an ideal place to bring your dog.

Lockhart State Park Small by state park standards, Lockhart still manages to provide a few enjoyable miles of trails picking their way around the park's signature golf course. Ants might not enjoy the trail as much as humans.

Though the trail does not feature any dramatic views from the top of a mountain it does have a few nice ones such as this. Note also the information kiosk sign along the trail. Slaughter Creek Preserve Trail
