Trails reopened to both of upper and lower falls. Still couldn't cross over to the homestead.
We started at the free trailhead on FM 496 and walked northeast over the Friendship bridge, past the juncton with campsite #45 and on for quite a way. I estimate that our out and back was 2 miles.
We walked after a period of light rain so the trail was a little slick in spots. Because the dogs are off leash and their is water you have to contend with fending off friendly dogs that get you wet also.
It was hot. The trails were not well marked. We sorta got lost. Not real sure of our distance.
We did not walk the complete loop. We walked from the Congress Street Bridge to Pleasant Valley Road. About a fourth of the distance of that on a boardwalk.
