Did my usual large loop of the Rimrock, Shin Oak, and Indiangrass trails followed by the Creek Trail loop. Did not see a single person out there today once I left the parking lot area.
Went out to Crockett Gardens and back. Terrain was different than I remembered, because the lake level was significantly higher than I'd ever seen it before. The waterfall going directly into the lake was beautiful, and the irises were in full bloom along with other wildflowers.
Evening hike with a HCO group. We started right across the street from the Rowing Dock, where there is what is clearly an official trailhead that is nonetheless quite overgrown and is nearly impossible to see until you're right on top of it. Backtracked a couple of times after going down side trails that petered out. The overlook of downtown Austin was very nice though, particularly at sunset. Some parts of the trail were pretty well marked (including a map that suddenly appeared in the middle of the hike), but it was hit and miss between that and the overgrown portions.
HCO group, evening hike.
HCO group, doing the outer loop.
